DJs, DJs, DJs...I don't get it.
Does anyone play real music anymore?!?!
C'mon peeps...there must be a way to have real bands, playing real melodic music, real songs, etc.
I know Portland has some musicians here.....where are you all?!?!?
No offense to DJs....seriously, that's not my point. I just need to hear something more melodic than the constant never-changing thump of electronica.
I know....now the hate-mail comes.....sigh.

Hope your hooping is going great! I'm just 4 months out of major knee surgery, so hoping to get in on one of Serena's classes again soon.

This is heavy on the electronic end... because- well it's my tribe and I promote all the "fake music" you don't know: electronic music producers (they make music too!)
I suggest looking for a live music tribe or starting your own- or wandering 100yrds in any direction on a weekend.

Wed, March 18, 2009 - 10:04 AMyeah... but the reason bands are playing in a garage... is cause they are good enough to get booked in someone's garage or living room.
There's a band practice space over on sen6th & ankeny. Get your fill. I heard the "PRINCESSES OF THE DARK" use to practice there... heh.. actually some pretty good stuff.
Why don't you start a "LIVE BAND PARTY" tribe- and see where that gets ya?
